Healed by Gayle T. Taylor How God Took Me From Planning My Funeral to Planning My Future

For anyone who is suffering with a debilitating or terminal illness . . . there is hope!

Earth Shattering News...

When Gayle Taylor, mother of two young daughters, experienced incapacitating symptoms, she didn’t expect to spend the next decade fighting for her life. What started as occasional minor weakness suddenly became extreme fatigue, severe respiratory problems, pain throughout her body, mental fog, memory failure, and physical debilitation that made even the simplest of tasks feel monumental. After more than three years of doctors trying to identify her problem, she finally received a diagnosis—lupus, a disease with no cure.

As her health deteriorated, Gayle’s life became a miserable journey of survival as a prisoner in her own body.

But God! In her darkest valley, as she planned her own funeral, the Lord spoke to her through Deuteronomy 30:19 and told her to choose life. That moment was her turning point. She realized this was not only a battle of the flesh but also of the spirit. Through much suffering, surrender, and prayer, God taught her lessons she could learn only by walking through this season. In this journey of faith, the Lord ministered to Gayle and carried her to the mountaintop of rejoicing.

This book is a powerful testimony of God’s deliverance and healing power—an infusion of hope and joy to inspire you to believe for your own miracle!

I knew this illness could not prevail because God’s Word is the seed that grows within us to produce a harvest of healing in our lives. Faith calls forth the promises of God. The time of begging and pleading was over. This was the time to believe and receive.

Gayle Taylor, a faithful disciple of Jesus, chronicles her journey of getting to know Him as the Lord who heals. Gayle was an active and productive part of our church when I began my tenure of thirty-eight years as lead pastor. We witnessed the Lord’s provision for Gayle (described in chapter 3) as she participated in our “Arise and Build” challenge to build a house for the Lord. Our family was the grateful recipient of the miracle of healing that my wife, Linda, experienced when the women’s prayer group from our church came to our home and prayed for her (described in chapter 8). After many years of faithful service in our church, Gayle relocated to another area of South Carolina, and we said goodbye to someone we dearly love and appreciate. In Healed!, which is both inspiring and instructive, Gayle will take you by the hand and walk with you to know Jesus as the Lord who heals.

"I thought, If faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, then I’m going to get God’s Word in me about healing. Then my faith will increase."
